Sonia Romero: Bee Pile

We are are proud to present a Modern Multiples publication of Sonia Romero’s “Bee Pile” print.  It’s a 9 color serigraph (and one three-color split fountain) hand separated by the artist.

“After reading and hearing about ‘Colony Collapse Disorder,’ the phenomenon of the disappearance of bees, I became aware of the importance of bees in our food system. I became aware of the giant colonies of bees kept by commercial orchards and the potential loss of crops if bees truly dropped out of our food chain. Another name for this print is ‘Found ‘Em!’ “

Revok: Will Rise

Over one weekend Revok was able to come in and bang out three very small limited edition serigraph prints.  This is the full size version of the “Will Rise” prints with one extra color in the background.

Revok: If God Actually Exists

Miles Regis comes through with our second print for Edition One Hundred.  ”Dig Yourself”  is an elegant five color serigraph reproduction of an original painting by Miles, obviously in an edition of one hundred.

Kofie: Muchas Los Angeles

This three color print is a mixture of line art illustration we can all recognize only as Kofie and signage he has collected while living in LA.  The prints was made for Edition One Hundred and will benefit the charity “In Dusk We Trust” (www.induskwetrust.com)

Germs: Purgatory Mary

Germs’ latest mixed media print, Purgatory Mary, is a fine art giclee foundation with 4 silkscreen colors laid on top including a high gloss coating and 3 hand painted separations. Dimensions are 23″ x 46″.

Jaime is an LA native and dear friend of Modern Multiples. He is a genuinely positive and gifted artist who seems to be channeling the great spirits of our surrealist predecessors, while simultaneously slapping our eyeballs in the face with his infamous allusions to the LA/Chicano culture. He is known for his Luchador masks brought to life by their protruding tentacles and floating amoebas that playfully flirt with their viewers’ imaginations. I find myself mesmerized by the seemingly infinite details and borderline infectious behaviors of each character that aim to transform and challenge the icons we know so well. Each painting is admirable and a true labor of love.
